As a nature photographer I was thrilled to photograph this wedding at the New York Botanical Garden.
This photo was taken on the steps of the Enid Haupt Conservatory, a Victorian style glasshouse which is one of the highlights of NYBG.
I had never photographed a bride wearing a bridal cape before and I am obsessed with this bride's Pronovias ensemble. I love the way her cape catches the breeze and floats away from her body.
I photographed this with my Nikon D5, 70-200 and a ProFoto B1 held by my assistant. I always bring an assistant with me to every wedding to help me with my gear and hold an off camera light. Since a thick cloud cover had moved in the light was flat, using the B1 popped the bride and groom away from the background.
