I always wanted to photograph a wedding at Jedediah Hawkins Inn and in 2017 I go my wish twice over.
Jedediah Hawkins Inn is a historic and charming luxury boutique hotel located in Jamesport on the North Fork.
Originally built in 1863 by Captain Jedediah Hawkins in 1863, this architectural gem has been beautifully restored.
I always recommend selecting a venue that hosts one wedding at a time. And if you love and appreciate unique architecture, nature and gourmet food this venue is a wonderful choice. Furthermore, couples can return to the Inn for their anniversaries or a North Fork weekend getaway, as it will forever hold a special place in their hearts and minds.
I took this photograph from the cupola with my Nikon D5, not a drone as I have been asked. I immediately had this vision when I scoped this space out.
I pitched my idea to the couple and they were game. After they ate their dinner we captured this aerial shot which is one of my favorite images from the day.

I also love the circular shape of the fountain on the front lawn and the curve of the driveway.
