I am so excited to share this Brooklyn Bridge surprise marriage proposal!
James wanted to propose against the iconic backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge.
It was a mild and cloudy March day – perfect proposal weather.
Tara thought they were just going to Brooklyn for lunch at the infamous Grimaldi’s Pizza .
However, before lunch they took a little walk around Brooklyn Bridge Park where James popped the question and Tara said, ‘Yes!”
It was heartwarming to witness and photograph the happy tears and laughs.
Afterwards, we walked around the park and took some engagement photos which affords endless backdrops.
Then they went off to Grimaldi’s to enjoy coal fired brick oven pizza and celebrate!
Sharing some of my favorites from their special day!
NYC pigeon’s are always welcome to photo bomb engagement portraits.
If you are looking to plan a surprise marriage proposal at Brooklyn Bridge – also referred to and known as DUMBO – I would love to hear from you!
Whether you kneel against the backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge or Jane’s Carousel – your treasured memories will look amazing all while having fun!
Moreover, this location can be easily revisited for future daytrips, anniversaries or cravings for Grimaldi’s pizza (or any of the nearby fabulous eateries).
A walk before lunch or dinner makes for an easy and logical ruse to pop the question.
While there is no site fee around most of Brooklyn Bridge Park – some niches such as Jane’s Carousel will require a site fee and permission.
