Montauk Lighthouse Proposal Photographer

I am so excited to share this Montauk Lighthouse surprise marriage proposal!

Montauk is a magical place to propose marriage and there is so much natural and iconic beauty to enjoy.

However, one thing I have learned is that Montauk weather can be unpredictable.

With a rainy and windy forecast and a proposal could not be rescheduled – Ben prepared and purchased clear umbrellas.

When I arrived to Camp Hero State Park – sheets of misty rain gusted sideways and the lighthouse was obliterated behind the fog.

Within minutes before Ben and Alison’s arrival…the fog completely lifted and the rain ceased.

Ben knelt down against the romantic backdrop of the historic lighthouse and Alison said, ‘Yes!”

It could not be more perfect!

Without Alison even noticing me taking photos of their special moment unfold  – I was able to capture her jaw dropping reaction, happy tears and many more nuanced expressions.

This is what I go for when I am hired to photograph proposals.

Afterwards we took some engagement photos on the scenic shoreline and bluffs of Camp Hero as well as a photo of the exquisite engagement ring.

    100% jealous of this spot. I’m in DC and I’m super tired of doing proposals in front of the monuments.
