There are many "Best Of" or "Top 5" lists but some of those lists are paid advertisements and not based on real merit or experience.
So how do you find the best Montauk engagement or proposal photographer on Long Island?
First thing to do is to find a photographer that can capture the decisive moment, reactions and expressions that are exchanged. The reaction of the proposee is the most important.
How much proposal work is showcased on their website, blog or social media?
Do they have enough experience?
If they are experienced - you should be able to see ample examples of various sessions over a period of time.
You want to like their work and feel a connection to it. It should stir your heart and captivate your eyes visually.
Furthermore, you want to connect with and like the photographer. As they will be a part of this important day.
